The Puritans

In the sinners in the hand of an angry god the puritans only believed that only a few people were chosen to be saved by god. if you were not chosen then you were condemed to hell. No matter what. You would be sent to hell were a firey damnation would be your home forever. God was holding you over it untile your death. Also they said that there was nonthing you could do to stop this (as a spiders web cant stop a rock falling to the earth). They belieed that Jesus only died for a select few and the others were (subject to the wrath of god).
