gatsby's party

In this story the author talks about a man who throws huge parties were almost every one in the country attend. His name is Gatsby and he is extremely wealthy and in some ways shows it off. The author talks about how you would see him in his Rolls Royce or his many servants doing work in his home, his garden, and carrying out huge crates of oranges and limes.

One night the author is invited to one of his parties and when he arrives he see's that it is alive and full of people. He walks around and runs into a woman named Jordan Baker and two twins. Ms. Baker is a golfer and the twins are some sort of musicians. As they carry on the conversation they start to say that they heard certain things about their host. One says that they heard that he was a German spy during the war. This topic is quickly put to an end and they go on with the party. After a while the author starts a conversation with a man and soon realizes that he is the one hosting the party. After they talk a while Mr. Gatsby goes into his home and the author continues his conversation with Ms.Baker.

A little while later Mr. Gatsby asks that Ms.Baker come and see him inside his house. She leaves and the author sits alone in the garden drinking Champaign. After a few minutes he follows the life of the party inside and realizes that it is also crowded in there. Before he leaves he runs into the two again and the share their good byes. When he gets outside he realizes that a man who is drunk has driven into a ditch. Ready to get home because he is tired he continues into the house and calls it a night.
